It’s been some time since I posted. But I won’t abandon this.
I have noticed two things lately.
Number one:
Its hard to just go tell people you’re good at something and convince them its real.
I’ve been telling my friends. They don’t believe me.
What I need is proof.I told them I’ll play for them. That’s one way to solve it.
Show them you are serious. Well that’s just what I’ve been observing. Only those that saw me play, would believe me of course
And there’s Number two:
THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DIGITAL PIANOS & STANDARD PIANOS.

DIGITAL PIANO

STANDARD PIANO
The piano I’m currently using is Yamaha Clavinova CLP230. So what I write is in my opinion.

YAMAHA CLAVINOVA
Difference No1.
An digital piano is brighter than a real one.
You can play clearer and clearly on an digital piano whilst on a real one, you have to practice much more than that. I’ve been noticing that.
Difference No2.

PIANO FOOT PEDAL
The pedals have differences.
An digital piano has only slight differences in pressing the pedals.
While on the other hand, the standard piano has huge differences.
To play excellently you need to judge them well and balance the sustains.
Difference No3.

THE TOUCH [HAMMERS & DAMPERS]
The touch is different.
Just different.
To play on a digital piano is easier than a standard one. Its much more cleaner and clearer which don’t make blur sounds but a standard piano makes muffled sounds if not played properly. A standard piano also feels spongy if you hit it hard and an digital one feels sharp if you hit it hard on the keys.
But an digital piano has an advantage. If you set the volume just low enough and the touch hard enough. Playing scales will improve our skills and techniques substantially.
Well to be good at piano isn’t easy. Playing on an digital piano might be good enough but the real thing is not that easy.
That’s why practicing and not only just that , practicing WELL will help a lot.
