Archive for July, 2010

Yes it is the end of July. Internet recently is being really annoying. On and off and on and off. I heard Brunei’s making an upgrade but it was cancelled. Or maybe it was just the thunderstorms here.

My piano string broke. Its a rare situation but I do think that I might be going to harsh on my piano. Some people played piano all their lives and never heard of a broken string.

So its been a long time since I’ve updated. But i’ve return to do so :)

Recently, I was given 6 pieces to Play as keyboardist for a Rock Concert held by Expression Music this November in Jerudong MINI ampitheatre. Not the big one. All these will be after my Exams thank goodness. And band pieces aren’t that hard. Give a few days to take down all 6.

More coming up!

We all know Chuck Norris as a legendary martial artist (and actor). But we all never knew how deep he was. These were his personal codes to follow.

1. I will develop myself to the maximum of my potential in all ways.
2. I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to greater achievements.
3. I will continually work at developing love, happiness and loyalty in my family.
4. I will look for the good in all people and make them feel worthwhile.
5. If I have nothing good to say about a person, I will say nothing.
6. I will always be as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own.
7. I will maintain an attitude of open-mindedness.
8. I will maintain respect for those in authority and demonstrate this respect at all times.
9. I will always remain loyal to my God, my country, family and my friends.
10. I will remain highly goal-oriented throughout my life because that positive attitude helps my family, my country and myself.

Chun Kuk Do was a martial art style he created. It was a mix of every martial arts he knew. It was mostly Tang Tsoo Do.

Me and my friends was just talking about him. According to science, Chuck Norris would have round house kicked you, yesterday.

I went to Miri to become a spectacle at the Sarawak Music Competition 2010 Grand Final which was organized by United Dairy News & Trinity Guildhall. The junior levels were cute to watch. Pleasant to the ears. The intermediate was more interesting and the Senior levels was the most interesting. The Advanced level however was far to uncomprehending for the normal ears. Even I don’t understand what they’re trying to convey.

While at Miri, I also had the chance to play on a K.Kawai Grand. It was 6 feet 1 inch. It had a brilliant sound. The sound was very VERY controllable and you can play as soft as PPP and as loud as FFF easily. And the touch response was very pleasing.

Just recently I’ve come to investing in books. I’ve bought Chopin’s 27 etudes, Bach’s Well Tempered Clavier Book 1 , Gershwin’s 8 preludes, Improving Sightreading by Paul Harris and two Trinity Guildhall Exam books.

These are no small prices sliced. They all have performance guides and commentaries.

My Grade 8 exam is on November. Two of my friends who are also taking it has already prepared their pieces till its around perfect. I haven’t even started! Four months of deep struggling to catch up. But when its finally over, Its my joy time :) .

Also I’ve 6 pieces to Perfect for Kota Kinabalu. Two of the piece which comes under subdivisions. One if it is the 21st Prelude and Fugue by Bach from Book 1 of the well tempered clavier. The other is the three preludes by Gershwin.

Its not an easy task to multitask. I’m super lucky to not have any big exams this year. But this year’s milestone is the grade 8 exam and the KK competition.
