YESTERDAY

I went to Miri to become a spectacle at the Sarawak Music Competition 2010 Grand Final which was organized by United Dairy News & Trinity Guildhall. The junior levels were cute to watch. Pleasant to the ears. The intermediate was more interesting and the Senior levels was the most interesting. The Advanced level however was far to uncomprehending for the normal ears. Even I don’t understand what they’re trying to convey.

While at Miri, I also had the chance to play on a K.Kawai Grand. It was 6 feet 1 inch. It had a brilliant sound. The sound was very VERY controllable and you can play as soft as PPP and as loud as FFF easily. And the touch response was very pleasing.
Just recently I’ve come to investing in books. I’ve bought Chopin’s 27 etudes, Bach’s Well Tempered Clavier Book 1 , Gershwin’s 8 preludes, Improving Sightreading by Paul Harris and two Trinity Guildhall Exam books.
These are no small prices sliced. They all have performance guides and commentaries.
My Grade 8 exam is on November. Two of my friends who are also taking it has already prepared their pieces till its around perfect. I haven’t even started! Four months of deep struggling to catch up. But when its finally over, Its my joy time
.
Also I’ve 6 pieces to Perfect for Kota Kinabalu. Two of the piece which comes under subdivisions. One if it is the 21st Prelude and Fugue by Bach from Book 1 of the well tempered clavier. The other is the three preludes by Gershwin.
Its not an easy task to multitask. I’m super lucky to not have any big exams this year. But this year’s milestone is the grade 8 exam and the KK competition.
